She is a determined, brave and dedicated woman who verges on heroism – just as much as Aminatou Haidar, the Argentinian mothers of Plaza de Mayo, or the Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma. Her name is Victoire Ingabire, and five months ago she had the temerity to return to her country of birth, Rwanda, in order to put herself forward as a candidate for the next presidential elections that will take place in August. It was then when her suffering started.
